Training: Mitigating Trauma in the Courthouse by Understanding Changes to the Brain

The Juvenile Division of the Tulsa County District Court is hosting a 90-minute training titled “Mitigating Trauma in the Courthouse by Understanding Changes to the Brain,” which will present information about how trauma affects the brains of those that experience it and how court staff and other stakeholders can be become more trauma-informed. The training will be presented by Hon. Kim McGinnis, Ph.D., who is the Chief Judge of the Pueblo of Pojoaque Tribal Court and has a Ph.D. in neuropharmacology.
